B. in Fotosessions.

KunstSportGruppe hochobir Founded in 2004, the group has held many exhibitions, performances, concerts and crossover projects at home and abroad, with photographic works, painting, objects, videos and CDs. The KunstSportGruppe hochobir is a loose group of four visual artists who also perform music. Based in Klagenfurt, within sight of the Hochobir mountain on the Slovenian border (symbolising roots in Carinthia but looking beyond), they work from Vienna and Berlin with, for example, photo-sessions. Starting from the Hochobir, they have made a reputation as “ice athletes” and “cave painters”; in 2008 they embarked on their “world tour” of the Minimundus, the miniature world by the Wörthersee, and last year they went gold-washing in Bad Gastein near Salzburg. In all their photo series and interventions, they use the existing special features of the specific location for spontaneous image-finding, creating a feeling of perplexity simply by shifting sizes (for instance, with miniature sports equipment or buildings). Computer-controlled post-processing or retouching are strictly prohibited; the digital images by their accompanying photographer Ferdinand Neumüller are merely light-optimised, but created using exclusively analogue methods. Heiko Bressnik, born in Villach, Carinthia, in 1961 1983-1990 studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna lives and works mainly in Vienna and Berlin
